NWC2 Viewer - Common Questions
- What is NoteWorthy Composer?
NoteWorthy Composer is our notation authoring tool. It is a software music composition and notation processor for Windows. It allows you to create, record, edit, print and play back your own musical scores in pure music notation. You can use the built-in transpose feature to quickly adapt a part written for an instrument in a different key to the native key for your instrument. The print feature makes it possible to publish sheet music right from your desktop. You can also save your notation as a MIDI performance for use in other MIDI applications, including software karaoke players. If you have a computer and an interest in learning or composing music, consider trying our evaluation edition. It is a free download from this site.
- How can I create my own song files?
You can create your own compositions using our NoteWorthy Composer program. Further details, and a trial version, can be found at our web site.
- How does the version number compare to the version number in NoteWorthy Composer?
The NoteWorthy Composer Viewer program uses a similar version number as is used in NoteWorthy Composer. Whenever the NoteWorthy Composer file format is changed in a new version, a new version of the NWC Viewer will also be made available via our web site. You can use the Help menu to check for updates.
If a file is opened that was created by a newer version of NoteWorthy Composer, an error message will probably be reported, and the file will not be loaded. If this happens, try checking our web site to see if a newer version of the NWC Viewer is available.
