Stephen HutchesonStephen bought his first computer (an Atari ST) with a view toward creating sheet music of church music. He first began to use NoteWorthy Composer in 1998 to prepare handouts of hymns omitted from his church's hymnal. Stephen says, “The extraordinarily efficient, intuitive keyboard interface of its full-featured demo sold me. Now NWC is becoming a standard for hymn tunes on the net.”Stephen has significantly contributed to hymns in NoteWorthy Composer file format available on the Internet. His work of over 1000 hymns is hosted by the Christian Classics Ethereal Library as the Christian Classics Ethereal Hymnary. He has plans to publish another thousand hymn tunes to the site. In addition to notating the hymns for the CCEL, Stephen has created some SATB arrangements for public-domain hymns. You will find these listed under his name. Stephen is very active in the Open Directory Project as a Meta-Editor. He got involved with the Open Directory when he volunteered to build a "Hymns" category from a "links page" he had collected for his personal web site (from which he says he has now been distracted.) You can learn more about Stephen in his ODP profile. |
