Fred Nachbaur*** N O T I C E ***Fred was featured in this Center Stage on 26 March 2002. On 27 September 2004, Fred passed away after living with cancer. He spent his last days happily enjoying music and being close to his family. The rest of this Center Stage entry remains unaltered as a tribute to Fred and his thoughtfull, friendly, and very helpful nature. See also:
Fred has been a NoteWorthy Composer since version 1.52 (that was 1998). Since that time, he has been extremely active and most helpful in the Forum and Newsgroup. In addition, he has submitted many “Helpful Files” and songs to the NoteWorthy Composer Scriptorium. One of Fred's most popular songs is "Caverns of the Heart" which can be found in the NoteWorthy Composer samples folder. Another song of his that is really nifty is "A Song about Frogs." Fred has found NWC to be by far the fastest and most flexible way to compose, sequence existing works, and experiment with sound. He has released an entire CD, "Fractile" based on NWC sequences, and has written an Electric Guitar Concerto and other incidental pieces since then. He also finds the NoteWorthy Composer site, user group and forum to be invaluable assets for learning, helping others to learn, and "enjoys the camaraderie of a terrific group of gentlefolk the world over."
