Steve PearsonSteve has been an active NoteWorthy Composer since 1995. He has 8 User Tips Submissions and approximately 100 NWC Forum posts. Readers of the forum will benefit from his knowledge of various software applications, his willingness to find and post the links needed for reference on a topic and his overall kind nature. In his own words, "I am a Juneau, Alaska attorney/guitar player who suffers from occasional bouts of singing. Besides choir work, I was the token bass for many years with the Twisted Tudors (a local madrigal group)." In 1995, he began setting all the Psalms into music. He said, "Seemed like a worthwhile project and kept me out of my wife's hair (although I doubt it will be enough to warrant salvation for an attorney)." The results of this ongoing project are reflected at Psalmistry Music. At the site, you will find *.nwc files for each Psalm (all 150). For how he uses NoteWorthy Composer, he commented, "Because I am ortho on a keyboard, I use a Roland midi interface on a guitar for basic entry of music and accompaniments. I have found NWC to be invaluable from the outset in editing, scoring, and adding lyrics. I have explored many other programs. Nothing tops Noteworthy Composer in usability and ease. I particularly like the fact that virtually all "events" are linked to keystrokes rather than a mouse. The feature allows use of voice commands for editing work." See Steve's User Tip "Creating Voice Activated NWC Commands" In addition, he stated, "Besides the very helpful staff at NWC and constant improvements, NoteWorthy Software has one of the best forums and newsgroups in the business: very helpful; very courteous. I am in awe of the talent, knowledge and helpfulness of folks like Fred Nachbauer, Barry Graham, Andrew Purdam, Sue Morton, Marsu, Ertugrul INANÇ, just to name a few. If I post a question, answers are forthcoming within minutes." |
