Insert Menu Commands
This menu contains all of the symbols which can be inserted into a staff. All commands followed by three dots (...) utilize a dialog box to designate parameters associated with the item to be added. When a new symbol is added, it is placed at the insertion point in the active staff. When items are selected, symbols cannot be added to the active staff.
- Note: Adds a note
- Rest: Adds a rest
- Chord Member: Adds a note member to a chord
- Bar Line: Adds a standard bar line
- Multi-measure Rest: Adds a multi-measure rest
- Spacer: Adds a staff spacer
- Boundary Change: Adds a boundary change instruction
- Marker: Adds a slur positioning mark
- Styled Bar Line: Adds special bar lines
- Clef: Adds a bass or treble clef
- Dynamic: Adds dynamics such as ppp or mf
- Dynamic Variance: Adds dynamic variance, such as crescendo
- Flow Direction: Adds flow direction symbols such as To Coda
- Key Signature: Adds a key signature
- Performance Style: Adds a performance style, such as Legato
- Special Ending: Adds special endings
- Sustain Pedal: Adds sustain pedal symbols
- Tempo: Adds tempo designations
- Tempo Variance: Adds tempo variances, such as fermata and accel.
- Text: Adds a text expression of your choice
- Time Signature: Adds a time signature designation
- Instrument Change: Change the performance instrument and its properties
- Multi-point Controller: Adds a generic MIDI controller
- Object: Provides a list of available object types which can be added to the staff
